Flyaway hair. (For Ellen)

A girl,
Flyaway hair.
Laughing with her dreams.
A land far away.
You joined her,
This girl with flyaway hair.
You laughed,
You cried.
But mostly laughed.
You left,
The land was gone.
The girl was lost.
You would come back,
You told those trusting eyes.
They were right to trust.
Golden hours spent,
Never tarnished.
Now the girl is older.
Well, taller anyway.
The young one,
You got to knew so well,
With the flyaway hair,
Is still there,
Waiting,
For her guide,
Through her dream world.
Calvin needs a Hobbes,
Just like how Jane,
Needs an Ellen.
See you next time,
And thanks,
For the ride.

This is just a bit of what I do after lovely visits with Ellen. :)

I'm no good at critiquing style, but this was a fun read :)
